Elf products

About 3 weeks ago i placed an order with Elf. My package came like 4 days after i placed my order, which i think is really quick so was really happy with the service. I didn't buy a lot, just a few things really caught my eyes and as many of you properly know, has had many positive reviews. I brought the Studio small precision brush, Studio complexion brush, Studio powder brush, and the Studio warm bronzer.

Studio Warm Bronzer
As you guys may have read before, Nars Laguna is my favourite bronzer at the moment, so having this in mind, i did have quite high expectations about this. I do really like the colour of this bronzer, it gives quite a natural bronze, the only negative this i can say about this is that it's quite shimmery. I have used it a fair few times, but i still tend to go by the Nars Laguna on most days, but i think for £3.50, its definately worth buying. The colour is really pigmented so i have also tried this for eyeshadow and its so pretty.

Studio Powder Brush
I can't stress enough how good this brush is and it is definately worth buying! Not only is it only £3.50 but the quality is actually really good. The brush doesn't shed or bleed (I have read in some reviews they do but it hasnt for me) I use this everyday for my powder foundation and this is by far the best brush i've used. Its soo soft aswell! Love it!

Studio Complexion Brush
This is another really soft brush and it is only £3.50 too. I don't use this very often but when i do, I use mainly for light application of bronzers and blushes. I wouldn't say its a must have but its a nice brush to own.

Studio Small Precision Brush
I use this to apply color evenly for small targeted areas. It good to create thin lines on my eyes (eg. with black eyeshadow) I do like this brush, don't love it, not sure why, maybe cus it does get a little messy sometimes. But its really soft, does the job so its nice to use it.

This brush i don't own but i'm considering placing another Elf order soon and i really want it. Its the Elf blending brush. I really need a blending brush and i've read good reviews about it. I wana try it out cus if i end up not liking it i wana buy the mac 224 or 217 brush. But of course if this turns out great, i won't have to spend much for a brush cus the mac brushes are quite expensive.

Clinique and a little shopping.

Clinique dramatically different moisturizing gel

I've been using this for about 2 months now. I have combination/oily skin and all the past moisturizers i've used have left me with really oily skin especially when i wake up. But this, is really good on my skin, it moisturizes it, yet it doesnt become really oily. Maybe because its a gel texture but i definately recommend this. I think its especially good for summer now coming up, because my skin becomes more oily.

Clinique superfit make up.
This is oil-free and long-lasting. I've been debating ages whether to buy this or the mac face and body foundation.. and i just couldnt resist when i went to the clinique counter the other day. I am in the colour beige. And it fits perfectly. I've worn this a couple of times so can't really review much but all i can say is so far so good! It has been long lasting and hasnt melt off.

Carvela Ambrosia

I finally found them in my size! Went to House of Fraser and KG today to look for these (theyr on sale atm from 120 pounds to 79 pounds!) and nowhere has my size (3). Thinking selfridges would be the most popular place where people went to for sales so not very hopeful, i still asked the sales lady if they had any size 3 left.. and she came out from the stock room with a pair! oh em geee! so happy! I have plenty of heels but these are my first pair of platforms, and im so excited to wear them! I have to buy some heel gripes though cus theyr a little loose still.. but yay :)

So i brought these hotpants from River Island. I've been wanting a pair of black hotpants for ages but obv winter being winter, I havn't seen any in any shops. Want to tone up my legs now lol. Love these!

Nars, Mac, Victoria Secret, Stila, Urban Decay

I went shopping for the past week or two and obviously couldnt resist buying cosmetics!

Nars bronzer - Laguna

I used to think the rimmel sunshimmer maxi bronzer was the best bronzer for me and when i tried other bronzers, they were either not the right shade or too shimmery. I was in the nars section and wanted to check out the bronzers. There were two shades which i thought was really nice. Laguna and Casino. But the lady at the counter recommended laguna cause casino is a darker shade and laguna may be better for my skin tone. I really love this bronzer! It gives such a natural golden bronze glow to my skin. Because i chose laguna and not casino, on some occasions when i want a darker bronze, i can just apply it abit more and it gives me the effect i want. I may try casino in the future but i'm not sure cus when i looked at it at the nars counter, it did look pretter dark compared to my skin. With laguna, i can get both a light bronze or a more darker bronzer so i'm really happy with this product.

Mac Select Cover-up- NC 25

This is how the product is described on the mac website:
Liquid camouflage for the skin. Texture-free, virtually invisible. Comes in a tube. Blends in. Brightens and lightens dark areas, erases spots, evens-out skin tones. Makes skin flaw-free. Use pre-foundation, or on its own. 11 shades. Don't reveal it, conceal it!

I wanted to buy a nice concealer for my undereyes to cover my bags and to brighten dark areas and blemishes. When i was browsing on the mac website, i did originally want to buy the studio finish SPF 35 concealer. But when i told the lady what i was looking for, she recommended the select cover up. This does wonders for my eye bags. It doesnt just provide coverage but i love how it actually does brighten areas which are dull. But on the coverage side, it isnt as great on blemishes especially when i break out. The coverage isn't as good as i would like, so i may buy the studio concealer aswell as the description for it claims to be really good for coverage.

Victoria Secret Very Sexy Lipstick - Whisper.

I love this lipstick. It is a nude colour with a slight peachy colour. The texture is really nice too - very moisturising. It has a smooth, creamy consistency with subtle shimmer. Another lipstick i have been really into recently is-

Stila long wear lip color in Darling.

This colour very like the VS whisper, but its shade is more of a light frosty peach colour. The quality of this is really high as its so moisturising too. I hate lipticks which dry my lips out. It's has like a little gloss effect so i never have to put lipgloss on top of this when i wear it. Also, this lip color smells and tastes divine - vanilla cake batter scent. I really like the tube shape of this too.

I have swatched the two lipsticks.
Left is the VS in whisper and Right is Stila in Darling.

As you can tell by the swatches, the stila in darling is lighter and the VS is more peachy. I love both and when applied on my lips, the colours are much more similiar.

Ok so i used to think Urban Decay Eyeshadows are too shimmery and would make my eyes look messy. But when i stopped at the urban decay counter and had a look at these eyeshadows, i actually quite liked it. I didn't really know what palette i wanted cus theres so many and they all had pretty colours. There has been a new palette released recently by urban decay called Alice in Wonderland, which looks really pretty too but i wasnt too keen on some of the shades in it cus i only really wear neutral shades.
So i decided to go for the Urban Decay Sustainable Shadow Box.

I've used this a few times and so far I'm really impressed with this palette, i love the twice baked. Its my favourite colour out of the palette. The colours in this palette is really good to make a brown/bronze smokey eye. I hardly wear bright colours on my eyes but the flipside colour looks really nice so i will definately try it out. This also comes with an eyeshadow brush and travel sized bottle of primer potion. So this is my first urban decay eyeshadow palette and i'm really glad i brought it :)

I have also brought the Revlon colourstay foundation. I'm really disappointed with the product though especially after reading so many positive reviews about it. It's just too thick for my face, i feel like i have a mask on, maybe the way i applied it? i duno. I gave a try a couple of times but i've just ended up taking it all off cus i just felt really uncomfortable. It was also really hard for me to find my shade colour but i give up with testing more colours out now cus i personally prefer a more thinner foundation.

Princess Lee Eyelashes

Okay so i brought these Princess Lee's (公主李) eyelashes the other week and its arrived! I've been so excited to try them out and i've not had the chance to until today.

They have it in number 6.7.8 which represents the length
They also have it in Light, Cross, and Black which represents the volume.

Lenth: Cross 6 (black) 1.3cm > Cross 8 (black) 1.2cm > Cross 7 (black) 1.1cm
Volume: Black cross > Cross > Light cross

They are one of the best selling items in beauty stores in Asia, featured on different Taiwanese TV shows, like "流行 in-house" and "女人我最大"

I brought the Black Cross 7. ! The lashes are all handmade so the cross looks really natural. The band is soo soft.. which makes it really easy to apply cus i usually find it hard to glue the corner areas.

As you can tell in the picture, the lashes are quite long for my eye lids.. so i had to cut it a little.

You might beable to tell from the above picture, i forgot to curl my own lashes first and from the side it's quite noticeable. So make sure you don't forget when you apply false lashes :)

These photos i took from my laptop cam.
